Tri-Cycle

My friend Michelle is a big girl. (No really, she calls herself that)... She bought herself an "adult trike". Here is a picture of it in my office. If you're lucky I may post a picture of me riding it. If you're lucky...

Sadness

So, I've been reading a lot of blogs lately. They all seem to be so sad. There have been 3 children that have passed away, 2 to get cancer...geesh. I guess I'm just really thankful for all that I have. I'm thankful for my friends...my family. I mean...we all have it really good!

Seriously

There are way too many pretty people. I think I may be weeded out pretty soon.

A New Beginning

Can you imagine how Martin Luther King Jr. would feel right now?

This is, indeed, the most historic time in any of our lives...or at least that's how I think about it. I think a lot of us never imagined that we would ever see an African American President. I KNOW my grandfather never imagined it! I would think that Martin Luther King Jr., although incredibly forward thinking, probably never imagined things could have progressed to where we are today. I mean, we've come a long way!

We have a lot more to accomplish as a nation.

But, I'm excited about what is to come.

Seven Weird Things About Me

1) I can, somehow, relate to everyone...even serial killers. (I mean, probably)

2) I go to work with wet hair

3) I have an unnatural relationship (I talk to him and have been known to pet him) with my fish and my friends at work make fun of me.

4) I don't like wearing coats

5) I really wanna be a star. I could totally hang with Brit Brit

6) I love to sleep

7) I love ballet...I help out with Hannah's ballet school as much as possible. I even help backstage during productions.

Oh love...

So I never ever post things about other peoples blogs, but I am compelled to do so today.

I really like reading blogs about children, parenting, real life stuff. Several months ago I started to follow a blog about a little girl named Magdalena Grace Roberts. She is a T18 baby and wasn't expected to live past a few breaths upon her birth. Magdalena lived. She proved she was a fighter and actually lived 166 days (I think I'm right on that). Here is the link.

Please say a little prayer for Noah & Julie as they grieve the loss of their precious baby girl.

well okay

so i haven't really posted in a long time.

i don't really feel like posting now...only it's my birthday and i feel like maybe i should. but whatev.

it's been crazy around here. i can't even believe it's december and we're going to germany in 9 days. i really am NOT ready. i haven't even begun to think about what to pack. and that's like THE MOST important thing.

and i'm sure everyone knows by now, but hannah's ct scan was clear, thank God. i was worried there for a little while. apparently, she just has crazy veins. figures. (she originally got pneumonia while we were on a trip to see melanie in kentucky. it was forever ago, but the pneumonia would never go away!)

so what else...i'm 30... yeah 30...

hannah will be 10 in two months.

wow.
