Sometimes it pays to be a DIVA!

As most of you know, I am pretty involved with International Ballet Academy in Greer, SC. I've typed programs, answered phones and now am serving as a group coordinator for Artisphere. I have become friends with the Executive Director, Lena over the last few months. I've learned all about the love of her life, Diva. (see below)

I've always grown up with dogs and cats (mostly dogs) and understand what it means to love a dog. However, I think as a teenager I kinda got a bad taste in my mouth just because they got on my nerves. (You know what it's like to be a teenager). Anyway, Lena and her husband, Jurgen, decided to make a trip to Germany for about a week and a half to visit relatives. She said she was going to take Diva to a kennel and was complaining about how much she was going to miss her and how Diva doesn't know "those people". Now, I've been around Diva only on the random occasions when Lena brings her to the studio, but it doesn't take long to tell the difference between a great dog and a not-so-great dog! Diva is a GREAT dog! Long story short--I offered to keep Diva while they were away and Lena flew at the opportunity!

Let me just tell you...Diva is the most wonderful dog I've ever met! I only have her a few more days, but I'm thinking about dognapping her! She hasn't messed up ANYTHING in my house, hasn't peed or pooped in my house, she hasn't done ANYTHING wrong! I just don't understand! She is ALSO well mannered, sweet and great with kids!

I'm so happy she's been with us!

What a sweet baby! Could it be Butts-Nuggy (RIP) that left the bad taste in your mouth? :) You must meet Jack!
