I hope Michelle isn't paying for this...

These are newspapers.

I have a lot of them on my front porch. The above picture is NOT of my particular newspapers. (I have a lot more) I am MUCH to lazy to actually get my camera out and take a picture of them. However, I have decided that I would like to continue to collect the newspapers to see how long it takes before the stupid newspaper people keep putting them on my doorstep! I actually think Michelle is still paying for a subscription, but I really don't know. She was supposed to have canceled it like a year ago. Hey Michelle...did you cancel? We will wait for her response... and then maybe I will take a picture of the real newspapers...

Let's take a poll... see side bar...

Sometimes you just gotta be down.

It's been a rough week. First Kesha passed away and now I have equally depressing news. My friend, Lynne, has been having trouble with her pregnancy for the last few weeks. She's been in the hospital now for about a week and a half. She's only 20 weeks pregnant and, unfortunately, she gave birth to her beautiful baby boy tonight...who didn't make it.

I can't imagine how they are going to handle this. It's so hard for me to even think about in "real" terms. I don't want to imagine the heartbreak they're going through right now. Things like this don't happen to people I know, ya know?

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Kesha

A very special girl went to heaven on Monday...Kesha Fendley

Kesha struggled with cancer for about 3 years and finally passed away early Monday morning.

I'll miss her warm spirit.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 4 pm at Frank's in Greenville, SC

Sometimes it pays to be a DIVA!

As most of you know, I am pretty involved with International Ballet Academy in Greer, SC. I've typed programs, answered phones and now am serving as a group coordinator for Artisphere. I have become friends with the Executive Director, Lena over the last few months. I've learned all about the love of her life, Diva. (see below)

I've always grown up with dogs and cats (mostly dogs) and understand what it means to love a dog. However, I think as a teenager I kinda got a bad taste in my mouth just because they got on my nerves. (You know what it's like to be a teenager). Anyway, Lena and her husband, Jurgen, decided to make a trip to Germany for about a week and a half to visit relatives. She said she was going to take Diva to a kennel and was complaining about how much she was going to miss her and how Diva doesn't know "those people". Now, I've been around Diva only on the random occasions when Lena brings her to the studio, but it doesn't take long to tell the difference between a great dog and a not-so-great dog! Diva is a GREAT dog! Long story short--I offered to keep Diva while they were away and Lena flew at the opportunity!

Let me just tell you...Diva is the most wonderful dog I've ever met! I only have her a few more days, but I'm thinking about dognapping her! She hasn't messed up ANYTHING in my house, hasn't peed or pooped in my house, she hasn't done ANYTHING wrong! I just don't understand! She is ALSO well mannered, sweet and great with kids!

I'm so happy she's been with us!
